Marlene Ross Khouri
Founding Director
Marlene is a highly reputable and experienced Residential & Commercial Realtor operating in the South Florida area for over 15 years. After graduating from Immaculate Conception High School in Kingston, Jamaica, Marlene attended the University of South Florida (USF). She graduated from USF with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and returned home to Jamaica for what proved to be a pivotal 10 years, during which she married her devoted husband Mark Khouri and had three sons. This period came with invaluable exposure and experience as an investment banker, followed by a wide range of management positions in banking, and assisting in their family business.
In 2001 Marlene and her family migrated to South Florida where she would apply her natural passion to help others as a licensed professional Realtor. She took advantage of the flexibility she needed to raise her sons while serving her clients with excellence. Mars, as she is affectionately known, has been serving on the SCDF Board as a founding member since its inception, collaborating closely in the brand design and laying the groundwork for its transparent and solid financial administration. Her work on the Board is becoming an ever-bigger part of her ‘why’ each day, as she strives to pay it forward.
Marlene’s St. Cyprian’s story is one of deep, abiding connections that yielded a legacy of high-quality education and treasured friendships. Cherished memories of St. Cyprian’s are intertwined with memories of her beloved parents, and closest sibling, Paul—all gone too soon. In fact, service runs in her blood as both her father and grandfather served consecutively as Member of Parliament for SE St. Mary up to the late 1980s. Her mom warmly cared for everyone who crossed her path, always supporting her husband in his lifelong service to others. Small wonder that, for Marlene, coming full circle to serve her prep school in her home parish of St. Mary was a foregone conclusion. Today it’s a heartwarming mission she approaches with the same dedication and care modeled by her parents.
Over the years Marlene has volunteered her service as VP of her Homeowners Association, and also a committee member on the Building Hope Gala fundraising event of Food For The Poor, held in Boca Raton, Florida. She fully embraces the opportunity SCDF provides to help restore and upgrade St. Cyprian’s Preparatory School for another 60 years. In her free time, she enjoys entertaining and relaxing with family and friends, social events, travel, dancing, movies and documentaries.
